The coordinator leads the team at larger events, maintains direct contact with the organizer and keeps an overview at the first-aid post.

Our team works closely with other first-aid teams in the region and independent first-aid professionals. That cooperation means we always have enough capacity, even for larger events.
Chairman, board lead and coordinator
Sem Goossens is chairman and founder of EHBO Roosendaal SACE. He combines his passion for first aid with leadership experience and is responsible for the team's overall coordination. The municipality of Roosendaal awarded him a Jongerenroos in recognition of his volunteering and good deeds.
Every deployment depends on clear role division. These are the core roles we fill.

First aid and triage
Professional first aid, quick assessment of situations and appropriate referral to further care.
Prevention and visibility
Actively present among visitors for early detection and a fast response to incidents.
Equipment and logistics
Set-up of the first-aid post, equipment management and coordination with external partners on location.
Alignment and reporting
Short lines with the organizer, clear handover during escalation and tidy reporting afterwards.
From report to resolution: this is how our team responds to an incident during an event.
A report reaches us through the organizer, colleagues or visitors. Every signal is taken seriously and handled immediately.
Through our EHBO app, the nearest or available colleagues are sent directly to the report for a fast response.

When the situation requires it, we scale up. Extra first-aid colleagues, security, traffic controllers or other responders are called in.
In a major incident, we call in our First Responders while the post prepares for larger-scale casualty reception.
